Hi! I am Gail Nichols,
We Don’t Have Just One Life — We Have Many.
Design Your Next Life Chapter at Any Age.
Speaker • Author • Creator of the Swan Reinvention Method™
After decades as an entrepreneur, innovator, and business builder, I discovered something powerful:
Reinvention is not recovery — it is redesign.
Today I help entrepreneurs, professionals, and leaders navigate major life transitions and design their next chapter with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
My own life has been built on reinvention.
I began as a neurosurgical operating room nurse at Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children before moving into banking, stock brokerage, and entrepreneurship.
With my late husband, inventor Richard Cherry, we co-created and patented the world’s first virtual call center technology and business method.
Our company, Willow CSN, pioneered the concept of a distributed workforce decades before remote work became mainstream.
Our work received the Smithsonian Computerworld Award and the President’s Task Force Award presented by Vice President Al Gore for creating meaningful employment for people with disabilities working from home.
After decades of building companies, navigating market shifts, investor battles, and starting over more than once, one lesson became clear:
Life is not linear.
We all face moments that force us to reinvent.
Loss.
Change.
Opportunity.
Unexpected disruption.
Those experiences inspired the philosophy I now share through speaking, writing, and media.
My upcoming book,
Reinvention: Designing Your Next Life at Any Age
shares the entrepreneurial adventures, setbacks, breakthroughs, and reinvention strategies that emerged from decades of building businesses — and building new lives when circumstances demanded it.
From those experiences emerged the Swan Reinvention Method™ — a practical framework for designing your next chapter with intention rather than waiting for life to redesign it for you.
Because the truth is simple:
We don’t have just one life.
We have many.
And each new chapter can be the most meaningful one yet.
Speaking engagements, podcast interviews, and collaborations welcome.
Life can change in an instant.
In this powerful episode of the Golden Years Empowerment Podcast, Gail Nichols interviews Dr. Linda Varisco, a former chiropractor whose life took an unimaginable turn when her husband’s addiction and legal troubles pulled her into a federal healthcare fraud case.
Linda shares the raw truth about betrayal, prison, and the courage it took to rebuild her life afterward.
But her story also includes an unexpected chapter of joy — a rescued squirrel named Mr. Peaches who inspired her heartwarming children’s book The Life of Mr. Peaches: Life Is Peachy.
This episode is a powerful reminder that even after life’s darkest moments, new beginnings are always possible.
It's never too late for `self improvement` and to reshape your life.
In this week’s Golden Years Empowerment Podcast (Episode 3), I sat down with Dr. Bruce Littman, a retired dentist who proves that reinvention, growth, and purpose don’t have an expiration date.
In our conversation, we talk about:
This episode is a powerful reminder that it’s never too late to become who you were meant to be.

This approach, centered on empathy and healthcare compassion, truly enhances communication and the overall patient experience.
In the medical world, the significance of "human connection" and "patient care" often goes unnoticed, but it's crucial.
This video podcast brings to light the importance of physical touch and "patient empathy" in "healthcare", highlighting how simple acts of kindness can profoundly impact the "patient experience" and contribute to overall "healing".
In this inspiring conversation, Gail Nichols welcomes Susan Patterson, a personal growth facilitator who helps individuals discover their unique characteristics and achieve greater self-understanding.
