Gail Nichols and the late Richard Cherry, a wife and husband team, co-founders, are shown here receiving their Smithsonian Computerworld Award for creating the now worldwide internet-based Virtual Call Center, employing millions of people in virtually every country worldwide.  

Gail extended her education and experience from nursing to include real estate, banking, securities, insurance (life, annuities, Long Term Care, health, Medicare) and telecommunications. 

Gail and Richard invented, patented and operated the original virtual call center technology and business method at Willow CSN.  This earned them a Smithsonian Computerworld Award and President Clinton's Task Force Award for creating vast employment for people with disabilities.  

They sold Willow CSN in 2005.  It's now called Arise.com providing employment for many thousands of home-based contractor customer service agents in the U.S., Canada and the U.K.
