Please do not submit confidential technical specifications, trade secrets, medical information, financial account information or other highly sensitive information through a general website form or Assessment response. Submission of information through the website does not create an attorney-client, fiduciary, confidential advisory or other professional relationship.

Completing the Innovation Readiness Assessment does not obligate you to schedule a review, purchase services or join the FPN Strategic Innovation Network.

4. Assessment Results and Automated Scoring

The Innovation Readiness Assessment uses the answers you provide to generate scores and identify how your responses align with stages of the Innovation Journey Framework™, including the Visionary, Explorer, Builder and Commercializer stages.


The report is intended for educational and strategic-planning purposes. It is not a guarantee that an idea will be commercially viable, receive patent protection, attract funding, generate revenue or succeed in the marketplace. Assessment results do not constitute legal, medical, financial, engineering, investment or accounting advice.


You may contact us if you have questions about your results.

5. Email Communications and Consent

When you complete the Innovation Readiness Assessment, we use your email address to deliver the report and communications directly related to your request.

If you separately consent to receive newsletters, educational content, announcements or promotional communications, you may unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the email or contacting us at hello@gailnichols.com


Unsubscribing from marketing emails will not prevent us from sending essential transactional or service-related communications, such as delivery of a report you requested or information regarding an appointment you scheduled.

We recognize that innovators may be concerned about protecting their ideas. Completing an Assessment, sending a general inquiry or scheduling an introductory conversation does not create a confidentiality agreement or nondisclosure agreement.


Please do not disclose patent-sensitive details, trade secrets, unpublished designs or other confidential intellectual property until the need for an appropriate written confidentiality agreement has been considered.


When confidential advisory work is undertaken, any applicable confidentiality obligations will be addressed in a separate written agreement.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Deliver the Assessment and requested services
  • Maintain appropriate business records
  • Respond to inquiries
  • Fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy
  • Meet legal, accounting, security and contractual obligations
